Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Vid2Blog ("we," "us") is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in the United States. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Contact: vid2blogssupport@gmail.com
What We Collect
- Account data: email address, password (hashed), subscription tier, credit balance.
- Content you submit: YouTube URLs, uploaded audio files, video transcripts, and the blog posts we generate for you.
- CMS integration data: if you connect WordPress or Webflow, we store the credentials/tokens you provide so we can publish on your behalf.
- Payment data: handled directly by Stripe and PayPal. We do not see or store your card number. We store your subscription status and billing reference IDs.
How Long We Keep It
- Raw uploaded audio files are stored temporarily and deleted after processing finishes, fails, or the upload is rejected.
- Video/transcript records and the blog posts generated from them are stored in our database and remain accessible in your dashboard until you delete them or delete your account.
- You can delete individual generated posts at any time. Deleted videos are removed from your dashboard, and account deletion permanently removes your videos and posts from our database.
- If you delete your account, your videos and posts are permanently removed. Your email address is retained in a blocklist to prevent abuse of our free tier, even after account deletion.
How We Use It
- To generate transcripts and blog content from your video/audio using our AI and transcription providers.
- To operate your account, billing, and support requests.
- We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models.
Third Parties We Use
- Stripe / PayPal — payment processing.
- Our AI and transcription providers process uploaded audio and video transcripts to create transcripts and blog drafts. We retain transcripts and generated posts as described above. Third-party providers process this data according to their own policies.
- Gmail/Google — transactional email (verification, password reset).
- GoAffPro — affiliate/referral tracking if you arrive through an affiliate link.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to keep you logged in. If you arrive through an affiliate link, our affiliate provider may use cookies or similar storage to attribute referrals. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your Rights
You can request account deletion at any time from your dashboard settings, or by emailing vid2blogssupport@gmail.com. You can delete individual posts or videos at any time.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is fully secure. We are actively working to improve encryption of stored integration credentials (e.g. WordPress/Webflow tokens).
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
